Privacy Policy – iBlocus WhatsApp Bot

At iBlocus, we are committed to protecting your privacy, including when using our WhatsApp bot designed to help students manage their study schedule, sync with Google Calendar, and track their academic progress.

1. Data We Collect

When you use the iBlocus WhatsApp bot, we may collect and process the following types of personal data:

• Identification data: first name, last name (if provided), WhatsApp phone number

• Planning data: availability slots, tasks, goals, calendar events (via Google Calendar sync)

• Progress data: declared study time, completed tasks, progress in goals

• Conversation data: messages exchanged with the bot to provide support or personalized assistance

2. Purposes of Data Processing

We use your data to:

• Personalize your experience (e.g., messages, recommendations, reminders)

• Create and adapt a study schedule for you

• Synchronize your events with Google Calendar (with explicit consent)

• Monitor your progress and offer motivational support

• Improve the service through anonymized usage analysis

3. Legal Basis

Data processing is based on your explicit consent, which is obtained when activating the bot and/or linking with Google Calendar.

You may withdraw your consent at any time by stopping the use of the service and contacting us.

4. Data Sharing

Your personal data is never sold. It may only be shared with:

• Trusted third-party services (e.g., Google Calendar API), in compliance with their privacy policies

• Our technical service providers (e.g., hosting, security), strictly within their operational roles

All partners are bound by confidentiality agreements and comply with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

5. Data Retention

We retain your data only as long as necessary for the purposes described above. Data may be deleted automatically after prolonged inactivity or upon user request.

6. Data Security

We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your data.

Your information is hosted on secure servers located in Europe (via Ionos), and access is strictly controlled.

7. Your Rights

Under the GDPR, you have the following rights:

• Right to access your data

• Right to rectify your data

• Right to erasure (right to be forgotten)

• Right to object or restrict processing

• Right to data portability

8. Data Deletion Requests

You may request the deletion of your personal data at any time by emailing contact@iblocus.be with the subject “Data Deletion Request” and including the phone number used with the bot.

Data will be fully deleted within 30 days of the request.

To delete planning data, you may also unlink your Google Calendar and stop using the service before sending your request.

9. Use of Google Data

When you sign in to BLO using your Google account, we access only the data necessary to provide our smart scheduling and organization features. Specifically, BLO may:

• Create, modify, and delete events in your Google Calendar to build and update your study schedule automatically.

• Access, organize, edit, and delete your Google Tasks to track your academic workload.

• Read your calendar events and tasks to provide daily summaries and dynamically adjust priorities.

BLO never sells or shares your personal data or your Google account data with third parties. The data is used strictly to support BLO’s functionality, in line with Google’s Limited Use requirements.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If significant changes are made, we will notify you via WhatsApp or another appropriate channel.
