About
iBlocus, behind BLO.
A Belgian startup founded in 2024 by three students who got tired of wondering where to start.
Our mission
3 out of 4 university students consider themselves habitual procrastinators. It's not laziness, nor a lack of intelligence. It's often a lack of method and clarity about what to do, where to start, and how to stay on track.
BLO is the AI study assistant that fills that gap. Today, it supports students in over 10 countries, directly on WhatsApp.

The spark
You open your laptop. You scroll through your courses. You ask yourself the only question that matters: where do I start?
Thirty minutes later, you're still stressing. You're playing Tetris with your time slots instead of actually working. Something unexpected happens, and your whole week is wrecked. Tasks everywhere, deadlines pushing everything back, the feeling of constantly having to adapt, alone. You spend more time stressing about what you should be doing than actually doing it.
We've lived this. All three of us. And at some point, we figured out something no productivity app had ever told us.
The real problem isn't that you lack motivation. And it isn't a question of intelligence either. It's a question of clarity.
Students who fail aren't the ones who didn't work. They're the ones who worked without direction. Who reread the same chapter a hundred times instead of moving to the next. Who spent more hours organizing than studying. Who let one unexpected event collapse an entire week.
We were all three at university when this became obvious to us. The tool that would have answered where do I start? for us didn't exist. Not one that understood our life, our rhythm, our surprises.
So we built it. BLO is what we would have wanted to have ourselves when we started our studies. A direction. That recalculates itself when life gets in the way.
Our journey
- May 2024We announce BLO. Within days, 400 students sign up to the waitlist. The need is confirmed.
- June 2024Pitch in front of the StartLAB.Brussels jury, the incubator backed by ULB and VUB. No product yet, no paying users, just a conviction.
- July 2024Goal: find our first paying users. Some trust us before they've even seen the product.
- Summer 2024Closed beta with 20 testers during the second exam session. Feedback confirms the direction.
- September 2024Pivot. BLO won't be limited to the exam-prep period. The assistant will support students year-round: back-to-school, semesters, exam sessions, retakes.
- December 1, 2025Official launch after many months of building.
- January 20261,500 students have tested BLO, 270 subscribers to Super BLO.
- April 2026BLO V2 ships, built from feedback collected during the first exam session: program reliability, adaptation to surprises, planning visibility, personalization, year-round presence. Five directions drawn by users themselves.
Our values
Built by students, for students
We know exam-prep from the inside. The stress, the isolation, the sleepless nights, the surprise that breaks everything. BLO was born from what we'd have wanted to have ourselves.
Co-built with you
Every important BLO feature comes from a student's feedback. The suggestions you share after a session, the frustrations you flag, the ideas that surface from the community: that's what shapes what BLO becomes. No roadmap drawn up in a boardroom.
