From idea to success: the iBlocus adventure

By L'équipe iBlocusAnnouncement

Last May, we introduced BLO, our intelligent study assistant, and since then... what a journey!

These past months have been filled with experiments, sleepless nights, doubts, and great victories. Today, we wanted to share this adventure with you.

Phase 1 - The first steps 🌱

When we announced BLO, nearly 400 students signed up for the waitlist.

Our mission was simple: create a first version as quickly as possible to test our hypotheses.

In June, we presented the project to the StartLAB jury, our incubator. The goal: prove that there was real interest in BLO and earn our spot in phase 2.

At that point, we had neither a product nor paying users... but a growing conviction. Summer was about to change everything.

Phase 2 - The summer bet ☀️

In July, we set ourselves a single goal: find our first paying users.

So we launched an offer so irresistible it was hard to turn down (and for those who missed it... stay tuned 👀).

A key moment

Some chose to trust us before even seeing the product — a real motivation boost for the entire team. We knew then that we were onto something big.

After several weeks of intensive development, we finally launched the BLO beta test.

Out of hundreds of interested students, 20 were selected to test the product during their second exam session.

The features were simple, but the feedback was incredibly encouraging. Seeing that BLO could genuinely help students get better organized and feel supported confirmed what we had sensed from the start: we're on the right track.

After an intense summer, we took the time to catch our breath before coming back more motivated than ever.

  • Sallah → 🇲🇦
  • Huy-Minh → 🇮🇩

Phase 3 - The real turning point 💡

Since September, we've completely rethought BLO.

Our goal was never to create a tool used only during exams. We want BLO to accompany students all year long.

Plan, organize, stay motivated... and be ready when the time comes.

This required rethinking the architecture, reworking features, and fixing a ton of bugs.

But after three intense weeks, BLO is back.

Not everything is perfect yet, but the progress is already visible, and the feedback from early testers confirms it.

What's next? 🔮

In the coming days, a small group of students will receive early access to BLO.

We'll then proceed in waves, progressively inviting those who are ready to use BLO and share their feedback with us.
